How Brilliant; Innovation Exposed in Building Systems Design

Not too long ago constructing domes and pyramids on any sort of large scale was an extreme feat of engineering.  While not as popular as Frank Lloyd Wright or I.M. Pei at present I am sure that Dante N Bini will join the ranks of this body of brilliance.  His novel no innovative approach towards developing building systems is a true example of being innovative.

One only has to look at the approaches he and his team has taken at http://www.binisystems.com/ to appreciate the term innovative.  His solutions to these rather complex problems presented by construction scale turn out to be very simplistic in concept once you see them in action. Then it hits you: "How brilliant!  How come nobody thought of that before?"

It’s that moment of "How Brilliant! How come nobody ever thought of that before" that separates what I call Innovation verse Step-wise refinement --both having value in our engineering world.
