An "Innovate" Button – If only it were that simple!

Glimpses of an Innovate Button

At COFES 2006, we will explore where engineering innovations derive: how much is inspiration and how much is perspiration? And can technology actually help in providing the inspiration or is it just a fantasy? This will be explored at COFES 2006 during a new session titled "Glimpses of the Innovate Button" which will allow attendees to see two recent technologies that are driving down the path of innovation.

Visual Journalism

On the walls surrounding the COFES sessions, murals will be unfolding on 4’ by 8’ paper to document the presentations and discussions among presenters and participants. The murals serve as tools for communicating the “gestalt” of abstract ideas, opening further discussion, and recording group memory. Visual journalist Eileen Clegg will create these visuals to capture out the tacit knowledge, intuition, unspoken themes, and creative ideas of the COFES event. Take a look at them murals from COFES 2005 or the visual journalism piece on our COFES 2005 keynote. More on Visual Journalism at COFES.
