Go ahead, name names, give dates, and say what you want to say about Vendor X and Product Y. (Just keep within the bounds of legality and civility...:-))

Hi Joel
Most banks offer students great deals on their banking. They often don't pay charges, and are usually unpunished for going overdrawn.
The banks do this because the students of today are the industry leaders of tomorrow.
It’s a simple concept.
Why is it then that the people who sell software that we all use, for licensing our products and protecting our intellectual property don't have the same view on life.
They preclude start ups simply by having the entry bar set too high.
We were in business for 4 years before we could afford to have commercial licensing of our software (We had to write our own before that). They do have scalable pricing, linked to revenue, but the lowest threshold is $1m, yet the first 4 years were when we needed the most protection.
Any thoughts ??
We Currently use Flex licensing from Macrovision.
