How does AT&T Mobile Insurance Work? 

Enroll at https://www.att.com/offers/device-protection/. If you’re an AT&T postpaid wireless plan customer, you can enroll in one of their insurance plans within 30 days after you activated or upgraded your device. 

If your phone is lost or damaged, you can only file a claim within 60 days. To file a claim, visit https://www.phoneclaim.com/att/. You’ll have to provide the wireless number of the device, then check your estimated deductible and repair eligibility. You can also file a claim by calling 888-562-8662. 

Steps to take when filing a claim: 

  1. Try to find your device first by using GPS or third-party locator apps. You can also sign in to your AT&T account or call tech support to locate your device.
  2. Suspend and block your device’s service so no one can get access to it. 
  3. File your claim. You will need the device brand and model and wireless security code or the last 4 digits of your Social Security or tax ID number. 

You may receive a replacement phone on the same day that you file your claim or soon after depending on your insurance plan. Expect to receive your replacement phone in 2 to 3 days if you file your claim on the weekend.
