How to Lookup a Business Entity in Texas
Texas Secretary of State Business Search by Entity Name
- Login to your online account by entering your user ID and password on the Texas SOS website. Click Submit once you’re done filling out the form.
- You’ll be prompted to enter your payment method and contact information on the following page. Enter your contact information, which includes your name, phone number, fax number (if applicable), email address, and client reference, before proceeding (if applicable).
- After that, you must enter your payment information. The following information will be required: type of card, quantity of cards, expiration date, security code, company or person name, phone number as well as full address
- Go to the top of the website and select Business Organizations option when the window that indicates you’re logged in appears.
- Click “Search” after typing the entity’s name into the search field on the page.

Steps to form your new Corporation in Texas

Is it necessary to add “LLC” after my business name?
